Resources and References
The CDSS Resources and References section is a combination of articles, publications and recordings that we think you’ll find helpful and/or entertaining.
Under Resources, the E-Library is where you’ll find Mary Dart’s Contra Dance Choreography and Bob Dalsemer’s West Virginia Square Dances, and other publications as they become available. The News Archives contain a selection of articles and poems from the last few years’ worth of the CDSS News. The very useful Make It Happen manual, Starter Kit articles, and Youth Desk resources offer practical advice on creating weekends, advertising your events, recruiting new people to those events, etc. For scholars, we’ve provided a link to the CDSS Archives at the University of New Hampshire, Durham, which is home to the New Hampshire Library of Traditional Music and Dance Collection, an assemblage of various collections, including those of the CDSS, Ralph Page, Ted Sannella, and others.
Under References, you’ll find information on CDSS’s Lifetime Contribution Award recipients, and References eventually will house the CDSS Members’ List when it goes online.
We welcome suggestions for other material you’d like to see in this section. Revisit us from time to time to see what’s been posted.
