Registration Information

Only full-time registrants will be considered.

We do not consider gender in our admissions.

All registrations received by March 22 (for special courses, March 15) will be processed together. Registrations received after that will be considered in order of receipt. If any week is oversubscribed on those dates a drawing will be held. Many weeks will be oversubscribed by lottery date, however there is always a chance that there will be a space. After lottery date, check Schedule & Fees for availability.

At the family weeks each age grouping has a maximum number of spaces available. All other weeks accept anyone age 15 and up. We sometimes accept a limited number of children at these weeks; please call if you are interested. Applicants under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Preference is given to CDSS members whose registrations are received by March 22 (you may join on the registration form). Each adult on a Registration Form must be a CDSS member in order to get preference. Family Week at Pinewoods gives preference to families with children ages 4-17. Further preference is given to CDSS committee and Governing Board members and to individuals nominated by CDSS member groups as detailed in a form mailed to Groups on February 1.

If you are a CDSS member and were wait listed for and did not attend your first choice week the last two times you registered, you are guaranteed admission to your first choice week this year as long as you were a member those previous times and registered by the processing date. Due to the difficulty of tracking, we may not know if this applies to you. If it does, send a note with your Registration Form by the processing date. This priority does not extend to others on your registration. This policy lets people attend their first choice week in the third year, even while attending one of our under-subscribed programs as a second choice the previous two years.

A deposit of $125/individual/week must accompany each registration. Full payment may be made upon registration or on your balance due date: payment for sessions starting before August 1 is due by May 20; payment for sessions starting on or after August 1 is due June 20. You may authorize us (on your Registration Form or on your Registration Status Form received later) to charge your credit card with your balance due. Remember to include your card's expiration date. Late payments will be charged a $15 fee.

Payment may be made by check (payable in US Funds to CDSS), by Mastercard or VISA. Registration Forms may be mailed, delivered, e-mailed or faxed to the CDSS office. Registration Status Forms will be sent out after April 7, 2004. If you wish us to confirm we received your application, please include a stamped, self-addressed postcard or send an email to camp@cdss.org asking for confirmation.

Cancellations [Back to Top]

If you must cancel, please let us know as soon as possible; we often have someone on a waiting list eager to attend. If you cancel before March 20, your entire deposit will be refunded. If you cancel after March 20 but more than 8 weeks before the session starts, we will retain $50 per person to a maximum of $100 per application. If you cancel between 8 and 2 weeks before the session starts, we will retain $100 per person to a maximum of $200 per application. If you cancel less than 2 weeks before the session starts, we will retain $200 per person to a maximum of $400 per application. In the event of cancellation without notification, the entire fee will be retained. Registrations are not transferable.
