Thank you for inquiring about CDSS's summer camp scholarships. Most scholarships require some work; such work generally requires approximately 90 minutes of work every day as dishwasher helper.
Please note that applications must include a deposit to hold a space while waiting for information on a scholarship. Your deposit will be refunded in full if cancellation is necessary due to insufficient aid.
Work scholarships of 1/3 of the camper fee are available. For adults, the amount are $148 at Campers' Week, $197 at Early Music Week, $180 at other Pinewoods and Ogontz sessions and $185 at Buffalo Gap. The amount for teens is slightly less (still 1/3 of the camper fee). If you are applying only for a work scholarship, fill out only questions 1-4 on the Scholarship Aplication Form.
Named Scholarships are also available for potential or practicing teachers, leaders, singers and musicians of English and American country dance and song. This aid is usually in addition to a work scholarship. If you are interested in applying for a named scholarship, you must answer all the questions on the on the Scholarship Aplication Form. This aid is available through the following named scholarships; please mark the scholarship that you are applying for in question #6 and describe your activities in question #10.

Phil Merrill (for English or American dance musicians)

Please fill out the application on the on the Scholarship Aplication Form and return it to CDSS as soon as possible. Application must be received by May 7 in order to be considered at the first meeting of the scholarship committee; notification will be given in early June. All funds may be assigned at the first scholarship committee meeting. Please do not wait for notification of acceptance to camp; return this application immediately even if you are on the waiting list.
