Featuring elegant dance music suited for an early 1800's ball, Spare Parts has released this CD in response to many requests from both vintage and English country dancers. Four waltzes, two sauteuses (turning dance for couples in 2/4 time), two Country Dance Medleys, two Scotch Reels, plus: La Belle Assemblee March, Fashionable Parisian Quadrille, La Boulanger (3-couple circle), and Sir Roger de Coverley, the British precursor to the Virginia Reel. Played on flute (Liz Stell), piano (Bill Matthiesen) and violin (Eric Buddington).
