Sharp's Appalachian Harvest

In the summers of 1916, 1917 and 1918, Cecil Sharp and Maud Karpeles made trips to the Appalachian hills to collect old British Ballads that had been carried there 150 years before.  They collected over 1600 songs.  This recording, by Brian Peters and Jeff Davis,   presents the highlights of that collection.
